eObčanka

eObčanka is a new type of ID with a chip. This new type of ID has been issued since 1.7. 2018. To log in to eGovernment services, you will need an ID of the new type (issued after the above-mentioned date) and to make certain that the chip in it has been activated.

To request for your old ID to be replaced with the new one, or for the chip to be activated, visit ID office at a local authority or a municipal office.

In order to use eObčanka to verify your identity from the comfort of your home, you will need a chip card reader (Smart card) and to install the service application eObčanka on your PC or mobile device.
